Julie R brought me here after raving about the tres leches cake. I've never had tres leches before, so I'm not sure I'm a good judge of authenticity, but I am certain this was some tasty stuff. I love vanilla cake, so vanilla cake soaked in condensed milk, evaporated milk, and a splash of cream is quiiiiiite tasty. I would have liked a real whipped cream topping as opposed to fake bakery frosting, but I can't really complain. For $2.50, the portion is generous but manageable! It would be delicious with some fresh fruit, but I'm not sure this would be authentic preparation.
Atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired and the bakery seems to be a neighborhood hangout, so don't' count on finding a spot to sit. Take your cake to go and enjoy! I'd come back if I were in the area, but not make it a dessert destination otherwise.
